The American bald eagle became the USA's national bird in 1782. For many years it was in danger of becoming extinct. However, in 2007 it was no longer considered threatened.
The Capitol Building is located in Washington, D.C.
It is where the United States Congress meets and is the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government.
