I’m typically the last one to learn of new trends, food or fashion. But, now that I have a teenage daughter, I feel like I’m getting a bit better (via her!) about knowing what is “in”. She has mentioned hot chocolate bombs that she’s been seeing on TikTok several times over the past couple of months, so I had to learn more!

Hot chocolate bombs are chocolate globes filled with cocoa mix and mini marshmallows. When the edible “bomb” is placed in steaming hot milk, the chocolate melts to allow the cocoa and marshmallows to be mixed with the milk to make hot chocolate with edible treats.

Other add in options include caramel, sprinkles, toffee pieces, or peppermint.

Amazon: $12.99 for one and $33.50 for a two pack!
Target: Holiday Hot Cocoa Bombs sell for $3.99 for a 3 pack
Costco: 16 count box Cocoa Bombs for $19.00
WalMart: $10.74 for one (if not sold out!)
Etsy: $3.50 for four pack (but several other options to choose from)

I’ll admit after looking at all of the prices during my search, I was definitely feeling more inclined to make my own, too! It does look like a slightly time consuming diy food project, but I think making hot chocolate bombs would be a fun holiday craft project.
