2018 is in full swing! If you haven’t already done so, it’s time to choose your ONE WORD for the year! Have you heard of the concept? A dear friend introduced it to me a couple of years ago.
The idea is to have one word that can apply to multiple, if not all, areas of your life. In contrast, a New Year’s Resolution only targets a small portion of you. FOCUS was my word for the year in 2017. You can read about that here!
One word can be the guide post for your year:
How do you want to live each day this year?
Where will you put your focus as you strive to reach your goals?
What inspires you?
What gives you hope for your future?
As you contemplate word options, think about where you are right now in your life. This year will likely be different than the next. Pick a word that fits your now.
Selecting a word:
Selecting a word can be a real challenge. Part of me was expecting a word to overpower the others and simply reveal itself. I was really over thinking it!
During my search, I looked for a list of words that inspired me to no avail. SO, in hopes of saving you the trouble, I made a list that will hopefully lead you to your perfect word!
My one word for the year:
Even though I didn’t hear the angels singing when I thought of this word, it did keep coming up in my mind. 2017 brought a lot of new beginnings for me and I want to keep fine-tuning what is working in my life.
So, for me, momentum fits.
What is your one word?
