Creative displays of vintage music sheets is an inexpensive way to add some fun decor to your home! When I came across an old hymnal at a flea market for $.50, I couldn't pass it up. I knew those old, tattered pages had so much potential. There are countless possibilities when decorating with vintage sheet music.

Decorating your Home with Vintage Music Sheets:
It was hard not to imagine those that had played the music many years ago.
I almost felt guilty tearing the pages out of the book. But, I also knew I was repurposing the music sheets, giving them a chance at a new life.
One of my favorite things to do is finding ways to repurpose old items that others have discarded.
As I mentioned, it's easy to feel guilty about changing the use of an item from its original intent. But, if it wasn't getting used before, it should not make you feel guilty.
Roll the vintage music sheets lengthwise and tie them with twine.
That's it!
Of course, I'm displaying them on my piano. My daughter and I used chalk paint to give it a new look. It looks like a completely different piano!
To see the before and after piano pictures as well as the entire step-by-step painting process, read about painting a piano here.
I was hesitant to attempt painting the piano, but we are so happy with the end result.
