I’m a sucker for calendars and planning tools in general.

If they are colorful and pretty, I love them even more.  Hopefully you’ll find that my colorful monthly calendars have just the right amount of pop to brighten any space.

Leuchtturm 1917.

Speaking of bright colors, one of my latest obsessions is my Staedtler Marker Pens.  A sweet friend got these for my birthday this year and I use them every single day!  If you are a pen connoisseur you will LOVE these.  They are bright and have a fine line that is fantastic.

Have you heard of the bullet journal?

If not, check out a previous post of mine that will give you all the details.   The Leuchtturm 1917 is the notebook I love for my yearly planner / bullet journal.  It has dotted lines that allow you to draw the layouts that fit your life perfectly.  For 2018, I got a rich, navy colored notebook. It makes me swoon!

Another great organization tool I love is my Pilot Precise V5 Retractable pen (fine line).

2018 Year at a glance.

It might sound strange to have such a pen fetish, but these are AMAZING!  I’ve given them as gifts to several friends…perhaps my friends are as nerdy as me, but they loved them.

This next image shows my year at a glance calendar in my new bullet journal using the Staedtler blue pen and the Pilot Precise V5 RT pen.

Don’t forget to look into the pens I suggested above.  If you try them, I bet you become a bit obsessed too! Happy organizing and planning your 2018! Leave me a note below.  It makes my day to hear from my readers!

  1. Thanks for the great freebie! I always like pops of color in my organization tools!

  2. I have never heard of Staedtler Marker Pens. I’m a preschool teacher and I need these in my life 🙂

  3. I’m doing a bullet journal for the first time this year, but it’s focused more on entertainment – so books/movies, etc. I do have “regular” planners for everything else though!!

    1. You shouldn’t be intimidated. The fun thing about a bullet journal is that you make it your own…it doesn’t have to have all of the artwork or different colors. Some of my favorite layouts are super simple. I’m practical to a fault, so I don’t make time for anything that isn’t functional for my day-to-day!

  4. Ooh, I love the effect of that pen. I just started a bullet journal as well, but mine doesn’t look as good. I love my Leuchtturm though!

  5. Oh no! You’ve just fed my pen addiction, now I will have to give these pens a try too! Thanks for the tip! I am trying the bullet journal too and the pens I’ve tried all seem to bleed through so far!

  6. These are so cute! I love the idea of bullet journalling and I’ve been trying to do it but it’s one of those things I really need to do all the time and get into the habit of it, otherwise, I’m never really going to do it. I just love the idea. Bullet journals are so cute!

  7. I love a good pen. I will search my whole house to find my favorite pen. I haven’t tried this brand and now I’m itching to have them! I haven’t jumped into the bullet journal fad but I do love to journal.

    1. Thanks, Angela. I promise, the Pilot Precise V5 RT are so great! I don’t really use the bullet journal for “journaling”, more for a planner and all of the random lists I keep in one location. You should try it;-)

  8. I tried so hard to make a bullet journal happen for me, but finally had to give it up and buy a planner. I want to try again someday! Thanks for the inspo 🙂

  10. This is great! I was needing new calendar printables. I like your clean and simple bullet journal too!
