Whether you want to lighten up a pre-existing stain on a wood project or you want to white wash bare wood, using whitewashing techniques can make a project look absolutely beautiful.

I love the bleached wood look, but it can be a lot of work without always getting the intended effect.

I started by sanding down these old TV trays.

Whitewashing was pretty fast! I used an old rag to cover the entire surface. Minwax Color Wash worked great.

After waiting 1-2 minutes, I wiped away the white wash.
